Stover Hall in Luray, Virginia has it all! The privacy, mountain views and easy to navigate to for guests made for an epic wedding. Bradly and Jasmyne’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect. We had some challenges such as heat, smoke, and impending weather. So we created a photography timeline to accommodate and combat the challenges we were faced with.
We scheduled the first look, wedding party, family, and bride and groom photos before the ceremony. There was ample time to allow for everyone to go inside to cool down, rest, and rehydrate. We also ensured the important parts of the day were captured while the weather held up.
This meant that time available later in the day allowed for additional friend and family groupings, more portraits which means more photos and a more relaxed evening! All of which are wins for the couple and me. I stress and worry if haven’t captured these important moments and have impending weather.
Brad and Jas’s ceremony did get moved indoors but everything else went off without a hitch. They exchanged vows, shared in a first dance, indulged in delicious food and cut a doughnut instead of cake. My first doughnut cutting but I love how it turned out. More doughnut and “non-traditional” desserts in the future!
