Hazard Mill Farm has the most epic views for a wedding and was perfect for Maddy and TJ’s reception on Saturday! These two started their day at Chester Gap Church when they both got ready with their closest friends and family. With the girls, it felt like a big sleep over because they were doing one another’s hair and makeup while in comfy lounge wear. They chatted about the upcoming day, the excitement and nerves starting to form as ceremony time got nearer.

Maddy was flawless as she put her gown on with final preparations. She chose to have a first look with her dad which was so sweet. As a dad of two girls he knew wedding days were in his future but seeing his first and oldest get married was emotional for him. As I left them to prepare for the ceremony, they began taking selfies and taking in the final moments before getting married.

TJ arrived to the church in his dad’s Chevy which was a surprise entrance for me. I didn’t know his dad was bringing the truck but knew instantly that we wanted to use it for photos. He was nervous, anxious but also excited. Eagerness but overwhelmed with emotions is a perfect description. His emotions got the best of him as Maddy and her dad walked down the aisle. They both shared in personal vows that put one another first but only after God. The emotions continued from Maddy and TJ to their parents.

After these two officially married we did portraits with the truck before sending them off to Hazard Mill Farm for their reception. Although it sprinkled a bit twice, both times during portraits, it didn’t stop these two. They were up for using the clear umbrellas which didn’t disappoint. At the reception we took in the scenery, privacy and seclusion (limited cell phone service). Maddy and TJ started their reception with a Prayer Circle. It’s a ceremony where the couple begins by praying together and then their guests surround them and share in prayer with them.

The Prayer Circle, emotions, love, and views made Maddy and TJ’s wedding amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend my birthday weekend with. Here’s to the most popular wedding date of 2021, an amazing couple and perfect wedding day!
