Skyline Ranch Resort was the perfect venue to host Brittany and Trey’s handcrafted wedding on Saturday. Their wedding was a labor of love. It was obvious that every member of the family helped bring Brittany’s dreams to reality. From the large bridal party and numerous family members that came to celebrate, it is apparent the love everyone has for these two.
The rehearsal was spent practicing and decorating the tables for the reception. Brittany’s step-father labored over the smoker until the wee hours of the night pulling chicken and pork. He put on and took off his tux to be in photos while manning the smoker the day of the wedding. It was the sweetest thing. He didn’t want to miss a moment but wanted his food to turn out too. He smoked delicious homemade pulled pork and chicken for hours for the guests.
The arch they were married under was also handcrafted by Brittany’s step-father. Brittany shared her disappointment with me that they weren’t going to be able to use the arch due to having to move the ceremony indoors. However, to her surprise as she walked down the aisle she noticed it was setup as the perfect ceremony backdrop. They had maneuvered it up a tiny staircase for Brittany and Trey to exchange their vows and share their first kiss as husband and wife under it.
Brittany’s dad expressed concern about walking Brittany down the aisle and sharing in the father-daughter dance because he is in a wheel chair. I was overcome with emotion when I saw that Brittany was walked down the aisle by not just her dad, but her step-father and brother. Brittany is a special women to have so many men care deeply for her and Trey has a huge stamp of approval. Brittany shared in special dances with these men throughout the night but her dance with her dad was the sweetest.
So many wonderful moments at Brittany and Trey’s wedding. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
