Lee and Ben were married at Emmanuel Episcopal Church nestled in Lee’s hometown of Delaplane Virginia. Everything about Lee and Ben’s wedding was truly perfect. We had Fall temperatures, warm sunshine, and a slight breeze. They exchanged vows on the steps of the church Lee has been attending since she was little. Although it didn’t go quite as planned with a ceremony indoors, however Lee and Ben made the most of it. I honestly love the little church as the backdrop!
Lee’s advice to future brides is to “just go with the flow and not sweat the small stuff.” This is exactly what both Lee and Ben did. They planned their wedding with what was most important to them at the forefront and then enjoyed their day! In my opinion is the best way to have a wedding day! In addition, their wedding day is also Lee’s birthday so it was a double celebration!
Ben most looked forward to seeing Lee for the first time coming down the aisle. Lee most looked forward to exchanging vows with Ben. And that they did! Ben and Lee have a whole lifetime ahead of them of Ben making Lee smile!
Fun fact, the flower girl’s dress was handmade by Lee’s cousin Oksana who had help from her boss, who made Victoria Secret’s wings for the runaway!
Lee formally invited her Maid of Honor Lauren to her future wedding back in 2008!
