“Drake and I recently found our that we are expecting!!! Twins!!!” Yes, that’s the email that I received from Nicole. Three years ago I photographed Drake and Nicole’s wedding at East Lynn Farm. I knew from the minute I met them, that above all they were meant to be parents. They have a love and affection for one another that couples dream of and a kid would be lucky to have for parents. Drake and Nicole both want a big family and would love four little ones running around.

I have lived vicariously through these two as they traveled to New Orleans, Africa, Jamaica, and Greece to name a few over the last three years. They wanted to spend some time just the two of them, living the newlywed life. They planned a trip to Greece as their last big trip before trying to start a family, but little did they know that they would be pregnant on that very trip!

Nicole emailed me on a Friday and we had a session date and location picked within days. We found Tranquility Farms which is the cutest wedding venue in Purcellville. It has the prettiest grounds with a silo and white pebble walkways (photographers dream). They quickly and graciously allowed us to have Drake and Nicole’s session there. The timing could not have been more perfect because I was going to be in Purcellville for a wedding and they just found out the gender of their babies.

Meanwhile, they have shared the news with their immediate family and close friends that they were expecting and a very select few know they are expecting twins. They wanted to use these photos to announce to their friends and family their new bundles of joy. These two are putting down their passports for sleepless nights and all things pink as they are expecting twin GIRLS!
