The JMU Quad was the perfect venue for Laura and Bobby’s engagement session. These two lovebirds are both music majors at James Madison University. Their plan is to graduate and attend grad school out of state to get their Master’s degrees and they both want to pursue an artists diploma/doctorate. Above all, Laura’s hope is that they are faculty at the same school and their students think they are cute!
These two musical lovebirds met at freshman orientation but didn’t actually speak to one another until after Laura’s first wind symphony concert Fall of freshman year. Laura’s roommate was good friends with Bobby and helped these two connect. They all went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner and couldn’t stop talking all night.
Laura and Bobby’s official first date included walking to Jimmy Madisons after a big concert of Laura’s. She recalls feeling special being taken to dinner and he paid! After dinner they walked the Quad and talked all night. Laura shared they both said, “I’m in love with you” on the first date, and think it wasn’t a choice we made, we just love each other!
Getting engaged young was something Laura always wanted. She knew Bobby was the one from their first date. The proposal still caught her off guard. However, only two years after their official first date, Bobby proposed to Laura. He pulled the ring out and Laura knew it was right and said YES!
In conclusion, Laura and Bobby’s wedding at Irvine Estate is going to be magical with lots of music to celebrate these two! Above all, Laura is most looking forward to seeing Bobby at the alter. Similarly, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two with hopes to attend schools together and live aboard.
