The Oak Barn at Loyalty is a gorgeous venue tucked away in Leesburg, Virginia. I had the privilege of photographing Laurel and Ryan’s wedding with Rebecca of Rebecca Dotson Photography last June. I recall it being a very warm day and in the midst of cicada season so it was very noisy outside. However, that didn’t stop Laurel and Ryan from having their perfect wedding day.
Oak Barn at Loyalty has the getting ready, ceremony and reception space are all conveniently located near one another. These types of venues are my favorite because guests aren’t required to travel from location to location. This allows for guests to enjoy the grounds, drink a beverage and rest as they enjoy the festivities.
Oak Barn was started after the owners daughter prepared to get married. She was the first ot be married on the family farm and the inspiration of the creation of a wedding venue. The two-story farm venue sits on 21 acres of rolling hills, pastures, and wooded areas. The views from the ceremony site are immaculate. The Amish built barn has indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate every season.
The barn is my favorite because it is two-story. The upstairs has space for seating surrounding the balcony with a view to the main level dance floor. Whether it’s to slip away for a conversation, to watch the dance moves on the floor or just to adventure, Oak Barn is perfect.
